Since then, he's been relatively quiet on the directorial front. Last year he co-directed the concert doc "All Tomorrow's Parties" but he's quickly followed it up with a new short film, "All The Flowers In Time" starring Chloe Sevigny. Details on what it's all about are scarce, and the cryptic synopsis below doesn't reveal much:
"I am not from this place," declares a French cowboy. An old toothless man asks, "Do you know why you're here?" These shape-shifting personalities infect young children with an evil signal in the form of a Dutch TV show. The red-eyed girls and boys believe they can now become other people and monsters, much to their delight. The film has recently begun making the festival rounds, winning the Grand Prix Canal+ for Best Short Film at the Paris L’Étrange Festival and wil be seen at the New York Film Festival, London Film Festival, the SITGES International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia and the Montreal Festival du Nouveau Cinema this fall.
We're definitely glad to see Caouette back another film and we hope it's a step toward another feature from the director.
